You won't catch many cats trying this, but dogs are no strangers to water, so it was only a matter of time before owners put them on surfboards.
Dog surfing competitions are popular in Hawaii and California, but many more dogs surf recreationally around the world. For official competitions, dogs stand solo on surfboards and attempt to ride waves to shore, but many other dogs prefer the safety of riding alongside their owners.
