Even if you don't know any of his tricks and have never seen him snowboard, you probably know who Shaun White is thanks to his signature long red hair.

Or, you would have.  Because White just chopped off his flowing mane for Locks of Love, a charity that collects hair for children with long-term medical conditions.

It's a tremendous gesture by White, but boy does he look different:
